Welcome to the website of our Church family! We are truly a Christian family that celebrates everyone’s own God-given individuality. We are never judgemental, we are affirming, and above all we are totally inclusive. We are small but growing in numbers, our faithful few coming from Anglican, Baptist, Methodist and RC backgrounds along with an extended web congregation/family, encompassing all of the UK and Worldwide, enabling us to be a truly ecumenical and all-embracing church (Multi-denominational, diverse, and promoting Christian unity around the world). On the first Sunday evening of each month, our worship takes the form of a traditional Eucharist/Mass – similar to that seen in many mainstream churches. On the Third Sunday of each month, the service is a Celtic Eucharist - more meditative and less formal. We are traditional with a twist. We are very relaxed and very welcoming. We firmly believe that Church membership should be a pleasure rather than a duty, and so we usually finish with after-service drinks of wine, tea, coffee and nibbles. Please click on ‘Church Services’ for details, and feel free to join us – you will be made very welcome.

Fr Paul, Lord Mayor Paula Riches & Fr Brizz                Fr Brizz & Fr Paul along side the NMBVA standard

Led by Fr Paul and Fr Brizz Miles-Knight, your parish priests, and Deacon Tom Armstrong, our aim is to bring the Christian Message to everyone just as Jesus does – without any conditions, without imposing ridiculous man-made restrictions, and without the stuffiness that, even in this day and age, hinders our ability to be ‘ourselves’ in     Christ’s Name.
We are chaplains of the Old Vic Public house in Southsea, and the Hovercraft Museum at Lee on the Solent. Fr Paul is the Vicar-General of the ECCUK, and is also Chaplain to the Southern Area Branch of the National Malaya and Borneo Veterans Association; more recently he has been appointed as a permanent trustee to Portsmouth Citizens Advice Bureau.

We recognise and affirm with joy that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is for all, without any exception, and we strive to answer the call of our risen Lord to carry his message of unconditional love to everyone.

Our Bishop and Father in God, Terry Flynn

The above arms are those of the Most Reverend Terry Flynn STB, MSc, MCIH Archbishop of the Ecumenical Christian Church (UK).

The Galero, Mitre and Pastoral Staffs are the traditional symbols of a Bishop in the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church.

The Escutcheon bears the Chi Rho symbol, representing Jesus Christ, on a Rainbow Field. This symbolises the universality of the call of Jesus to all without distinction or discrimination.

The motto is from John’s Gospel, chapter 17 v 21. The priestly prayer of Christ.

We are a contemporary body of Christ's faithful. We are a member church of The One Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church. While our orders originally derive from The Roman Church, in our services we use the rites of most mainstream Churches depending on need. The Ecumenical Christian Church Parishes and Ministries within the United Kingdom together form a member body of the worldwide United Ecumenical Catholic Church, a contemporary church of catholic – totally universal - tradition.
